Life in TLF

Start working! We should always wear rain boot while doing any gardening works due to the slush particularly in veggie farm and inside the plant nursery.

Kumquat金枣 ‘Jing Zao’ (Fortunella sp.)
I love this fruit very much! Taste good! The below caption is my friend, Ying Shing who with me to undergo internship together in this farm. The fruit trees are planted surrounding the farm. You can pluck it by your own and taste it! It is also one of the special local products in the farm. There are several steps before eating the fruit.
1)      Rub the fruit skin.
2)      Bite out a section of fruit.
3)      Squeeze out the sour juice.
4)      Eat it! Sweet taste~

Beauty landscape in TLF. This farm is surrounded by mounains and near to sea. It’s nice to see and enjoy the beautiful scenery while doing the work.

Basil (Ocimum basilicum)

When I was doing the gardening work in vegetable farm, I was lured by a wonderfully fragrant of this plant. This plant is called Basil (九層塔 'Jiu Cheng Ta' in Mandarin) which is used for the culinary purposes. I found out that this type of vegetable is one of the likely ingredients that will be added into Taiwanese delicacies. I love this veggie because of its sweetness and addition of fragrant. There are many uses of this plant besides culinary uses; for instance, it can be used to help alleviate coughing and colds, reduce blood sugar, reduce stress and facilitate relaxation and etc.

The figures above is the place where Tea House situated. Such a good idea and creativity to decorate those apparatus on the wooden wall of Tea House. The arrangement of table and chairs inside the house is just like you enter a kindergarten and sitting with kids. #Throwback. There are few wooden-made of furnishings which are placed in front of the house and allow visitors to take photos.
