WEDNESDAY
Today, we again have to remove stems of a lot of mandarin and all the better because i'st raining cats and dogs as say our neighbors the British !
(One of the guys who works with us, we learn to eat them: it is necessary topping up of mandarin, make out the juice (very acid), and eat the rest, including skin! Strangely it's very good ^_^)
Today, we take out yam of the ground. It's not very easy because we don't know where to dig exactly and we have to be careful : they are easily breakable.
(Hard work but done in a good mood)
FRIDAY
This morning, we plant a lot of sweet potato. We must first weeding the field, then make the earth mounds, make the holes and finally plant the cuttings. We was six for do this job, and in one morning we ended.
This afternoon, we plant beefsteak plant (a food plant, aromatic, medicinal and ornamental) Here again, we have to prepare all the field before plant.
SATURDAY & SUNDAY
\o\ \o/ Days off !!! Yeah !!! \o/ /o/
MONDAY
This morning, we finish a work we have begun, six weeks ago, our first day! We were preparing a fertilizer based on moldy mandarins and sugar. This had to rest six weeks, so it's ready! So we are filtering to keep only the best part, and put in cans. After that, we do the same thing with an other kind, who's make with ... bird droppings...
(No need to specify that the smell was horrible)
This afternoon, we select wood chips who will be used in the field, we keep only the small ones. It will be usefull to stop badgrass to grow up, and keep at a good temperature.
TUESDAY
Today again, we select wood chips like yesterday afternoon.
MONDAY
