DIY Tshirt Printing
T-shirt printing is a fun way to actually create a your very own tshirt design! Today visitors at the farm used leaves and twigs from trees to imprint the patterns onto their tshirt. Young and old all took part in this fun activity!!
Pizzaria!
The visitors had a great time making pizzas! Making pizza is one the activities available at Toucheng Leisure Farm. The ingredients are prepared and lay out for the visitors to spread on their dough. The visitors roll out the dough themselves and add some finishing touches. The pizza is off into the oven, where firewood are used to cooked the pizza.
228- Peace Memorial Day
Today marks the day, Taiwan remember the victims of the 228 Incident (二二八事件) or 228 Massacre (二二八大屠殺).

A Visit from National Lo-Tung Senior High School
Around the afternoon, 2 buses of students from the National Lo-Ting High School visited the farm. Students in their school jumper came running into the farm lobby to avoid getting wet by the rain.
A slow day
Today was a a slow day at the farm with a few local visitors and 4 french visitors! There was a short rainfall thus bringing the cool air to Toucheng Leisure Farm.
Lunch today was from outside which the staff of Toucheng Leisure Farm ordered. In Taiwan, takeaways are called Ben-Tang.

DIY Bamboo craft
One of the activities offered at Toucheng Leisure Farm is Bamboo craft.
Today visitors were all excited to make their very own bamboo craft and even a bamboo flute!
From old to young, everyone listen attentively to the guide in front, while he demonstrate on how to turn a simple bamboo into a very one piece of art!

A Visit to Albe Farm
A group of staffs and Ah Ma (founder of Toucheng Leisure Farm) visited Albe Farm. The purpose of this visit was to explore other leisure farm and get to know how they carry out programs for visitors.
A Night of Heavenly Lanterns
One of the activity offered at Toucheng Leisure Farm is the making of your very own heavenly lanterns. The teachers will first teach how to fold and combine 4 pieces of light weight, thin and transparent paper into a lantern ( and it also biodegradable! mean will not pollute the environment once the flame dies off!).

FARMVILLE IN PROGRESS 23/2/2013
Today, Ah Ma took few of the farm
staffs including me to go up to the vegetable plots. Everyone worked together
to transplant the growing cucumber plant from the germinating tray into the
vegetable plot. Everyone’s’ hands were dirty by the end of the day. Can’t wait
to reap what we sow!
A tour came by to take part in the
farm’s DIY class. Today the visitors were making flute which could produce a
bird sound! Cute!
Warm kumquat is served during this cold season to keep the body warm. Kumquat (Lime) is grown in the farm.

FIRST DAY AT TOU CHENG LEISURE FARM 21/2/2013
My arrival at Tou Cheng Leisure Farm on my first day was well received by the staffs. Although each of them were busy with their work respectively, but friendly hellos were passed around. It will be a quite week at the farm since the Chinese New Year holidays just passed and many of the staffs are on their annual leave.
