International Interns @ Toucheng Leisure Farm: Meet an interesting family in TLF

As a oversea intern, one of our responsibilities is to accompany with visitors from western countries and guide them to participate into farm's activities. It is so much fun as you can know more their culture and have chance to communicate with them to understand their living lifestyle.

The photos below are some of the activities that Mr. Leon's family involved. Mr. Leon has two children. He comes from USA and his wife is from Peru, now they are living in Philippines due to he works at there as an electronic engineer. He talked to me that he fall in love in our farm because he was fancy on the nature environment of our surrounding farm's landscape-mountain, river, stream and etc. They stayed at farm for 1 night and one more night in Wai'ao Beach House. For their 3 days 2 nights trip in our farm, my duty was to introduce this farm from the farm tour activity, guided them to go around and visit vegetable farm; went to water buffalo barn to feed the animals; domesticated animal farm to feed goats (I can see that their kids were enjoying to feed the goats! ^^); butterflies garden (They loved those caterpillars, larva, butterflies hanging on the leaves and swing because their mum told me that the kids liked to listen the story-line related to butterfly..Haha~ Such cute boys both of them! ); rice paddy field and had chance to authentic buildingwhich to experience the past decades activities as well as living lifestyle experience of the ancestors. They also had some desserts near to rice paddy area, but Mr. Leon preferred to add sugars on the ice = = (A brand new flavor taste~ Ha-ha!). After that, I would guide them to do the DIY fruit (cherry tomatoes) vinegar and also the T-shirt printing at DIY center before they departed from our farm. At the afternoon, they will depart to Wai'ao Beach House and I was in charge to farewell them and sent them off to the place, and arranged the next day's schedule for them to visit five places before they depart from Taiwan (Nan Ya, Ying Yang Sea, Jiu Fen, Golden Waterfall, and Yeh Liu Geopark). I had so much fun with them within these three days because Mr.Leon is a humor person and he mentioned a lot of funny and hilarious things to me, Mrs.Leon is a kind person and their kids are cute so more and keep saying ‘Cheese' whenever taking photos..Haha~ I'm so touched that he wishes me all the best after my graduation and getting a job soon T.T. Best wishes for them too (n_n). Hope that they will come again to TLF. We are always welcome them~ See ya! ^^
