Food, food and once again food!

What everyone should try at least once in a liftime is Taiwanese food. It's completely different from what I'm used to eat in Europe but really delicious!
Since I arrived in Taiwan, I've already tried what seems to me like hundreds kinds of food and I still find new ones to taste! Rice, pasta, vegetables, tofu and pork are the most popular ingredients and Taiwanese can serve them in so many different ways!
If you don't like rice or pasta - don't worry, you will find something else to eat, e.g. ...

Taiwanese dumplings served in many different ways: with pork or with curry, spicy or delicate ones.

Traditional sticky rice served in a piece of bamboo is available at the farm very often.

Truly wide range of soups: with noodle, vegetables and whole little fish swimming inside, or...

"crispy soup" made of cheese, pork and vegetables, covered with a hat of sweet cake.

If you're a fan of sushi - Taiwan is a perfect destination for you! Taiwan as an island has an access to fresh seafood all the time. And I'm sure you know that: the more fresh - the better!

For those who like cooking on their own, Taiwan offers Do It Yourself Restaurants, where you receive ingredients, bowl of soup and a place by a table with hobs. It's totally up to you what ingredients you choose!

How about something sweet? Toucheng Leisure Farm will let you try totally farm-made jam prepared from oranges and calamansi fruit, which are grown right here in the Vegetable Garden!

Do you wonder what these are? Here comes the explanation: peanuts covered with black, crispy lyer - often served in pubs and bars as a snack - goes perfectly with Taiwanese beer!

For those who are not really into foreign food, Toucheng Leisure Farm found an amazing combination of Western and Asian cuisine:

A farm-made pizza baked in one of farm's traditional brick ovens.
It's the first pizza with carrots I've ever eaten!

And a barbecue, which looks similar to the western one, but food served on it is more Asian style, e.g. seafood balls.

I arrived in Taiwan just two weeks ago and I've already seen more types of food than in my entire life in Europe! I honestly recommend everyone: come and try!
