National Centre For Traditional Arts

Thanks to the kind and friendly farm's staff members,
I was able to visit National Centre for Traditional Arts in Yilan.
The centre takes up about 24hectares on which there's a whole traditional Taiwanese street, a temple, a library, an exhibition hall and a residence.

Every house on the street is turned into a 2-floor shop or workshop providing
traditional pieces of art, sweets, toys, even soap.
Many of them offer a DIY area, where tourists can try creating a lollipop,
Taiwanese fan, calligraphy paintbrush or carving in coal.

The centre includes a separate area offering wide range of Taiwanese food in 21st century environment as well as in small wooden booths no longer seen in Taiwanese streets.

Lucky ones visiting the centre at the right time, are able to see Taiwanese culture Live by taking part in a show which engages every visitor and a whole bunch of professional actors.

Visit in the National Centre for Traditional Arts was an amazing experience which let me see and
feel a great piece of  Taiwanese lifestyle.
I definitely recommend everyone to come by there but especially those who don't have enough time to travel around the island and look for a facility showing many aspects of Taiwanese
tradition and culture in one place.

Every day I notice some new and extraordinary elements of Taiwanese lifestyle,
I get used to some of them, some are simply forgotten by me.
Due to the huge amount and variety of facilites provided in the centre, the impression was strong enough to remain unforgettable.
