Sky Lantern
Before start teaching how to make sky lantern, throw some questions to the guests such as what is sky lantern, where it come from, who invented it and what is the usage of it. (So far the guests i handling is all students, so this is work for them)
Sky lantern (天燈) as known as Kong Ming Lantern (孔明燈), it come from China. The shape of the lantern is like a small hot air balloon and it made of paper. Sky lantern was using as a signalling during the warring state period and it is invented by a military strategist called Zhu Ge Liang (諸葛亮). The usage of the sky lantern is to summon helps and passing message to each other on an occasion with written message on the sky lantern. In traditional beliefs, sky lantern are thought to bring good luck and carry away troubles and worries, and could achieve people's wishes written on the sky lantern and release into the night sky. In recent time, sky lantern have become so popular and integrated into festival in some of the countries such as Taiwan, China, Thailand and Brazil. Now, I will be teaching all of you the way of making sky lantern. May all your dreams and wishes come true.
Basically the explanation above is just enough to let the students to have some ideas in their mind. If u need more detailed information, you may look for Google search.
If you get a chance to teaching kilning pizza (translators as well), here is the step.
Gather the guest in front of the demonstration table:
- Remove the Cling wrap and put the dough(s) on the table.
- Use the rolling pin to roll into rectangle shape, the size is just about half of the pan.
- Once the dough is shaped, take it out carefully and put on the pan and adjust it.
- Put some tomatoes sauces and apply evenly before topping the pizza.
- Next is to put onions as first because it will burn easily if it put on top.
- Take one third portion of cheese and sprinkle on the pizza.
- mixing all the ingredients that we provided and fully cover on the pizza.
- Don't forget to sprinkle the another two third portion of cheese on it.
- Last step is to squeeze some mayonnaise on the pizza to keep it moisture.
When completed all the step, tell the guests to bring the pan to the baking section and our staffs will distribute a number for them and to wait for 10 to 15 mins. Don't forget to ask the guests to wash the plate and use it to collect their pizza afterward.
