Invaders in Toucheng Leisure Farm!


Impatiens walleriana (非洲鳳仙花 ) also known as Touch-Me-Not is an invasive species found in Toucheng Leisure Farm.

Although this species of flower look pretty but surprising this flower is disturbing other native flowers of Taiwan.
Touche-Me-Not are invading the native plants habitat.




 Impatiens walleriana have a high setting percentage with seeds that disperse via explosive dehiscence. It prefers wet and shady places and is often found in the shade of the farm's forest and near small streams and ditches.



The  farm remove these invasive non-native plant in order to preserve the area's natural habitat and ecosystem.
