Never ending of white radishes

Yesterday I helped out with the kitchen department in washing tons & tons of white radishes. The farm ordered many boxes that I didn't have the chance to count.

The radishes was un-boxed, it head was removed, washed, chopped into pieces and preserved with salt in containers. The farm must be preparing to feed a huge number of visitors coming in during the next couple of weeks.

The white radish also goes by the name of Daikon (大根, literally "large root") it scientific name is Raphanus sativus var. longipinnatus. One of the well known dishes which have white radishes in it is the 蘿蔔糕  ( lo baak gou) white radish and flour.

The rest of the day was just helping out at TLF-DIY centre.
