Pendant un des mes jours de repos, j'ai décidé d'aller à Shifen et Jiufen, deux endroits très réputés ; l'un pour ses lanternes et l'autre pour ses ruelles anciennes illuminées par les lanternes mais aussi pour sa maison du thé nous faisant penser à l'univers du film d'animation japonaise "Le Voyage de Chihiro".
Pour me rendre à Shifen, j'ai pris le fameux train passant au milieu des commerces. J'ai ensuite choisi une échoppe pour écrire mes vœux sur une lanterne. Il y en avait de différents coloris, avec un sens spécifique pour chaque couleur.
Sur la lanterne, il y a 4 côtés sur lesquels nous pouvons écrire. J'ai écrit mes voeux dans plusieurs langues.
Ensuite, le vendeur m'a emmenée sur les rails pour faire décoller la lanterne, il a pris plusieurs photos (il était très drôle) puis a brûlé le papier situé sur le cerclage en bambou.
Les lanternes me fascinent depuis que je suis enfant, sûrement en raison du film Raiponce...
Après avoir vu la lanterne décoller, je suis allée me promener à la cascade de Shifen.
Après cette expédition à Shifen, je me suis rendue à Jiufen en train. J'ai beaucoup apprécié cet endroit même s'il est un peu victime de son succès. Les rues étaient jonchées de touristes, mais j'ai quand même pu profiter.
J'ai mangé un douhua, il était délicieux.
Ce qui est impressionnant avec Jiufen, c'est que le village a été construit tout en haut de la montagne, nous offrant une vue sans pareil. De plus, lorsque l'on se promène dans les ruelles, on peut ressentir une atmosphère différente, animée et ancienne.

During one
of my days off, I decided to go to Shifen and Jiufen, two very famous places;
one known for its lanterns and the other for its old alleys illuminated by
lanterns, as well as its tea house that reminds one of the universe of the
Japanese animated film "Spirited Away."
To get to
Shifen, I took the famous train that passes through the middle of the shops. I
then chose a stall to write my wishes on a sky lantern. There were different
colors, each with a specific meaning.
On the sky lantern, there are 4 sides on which we can write. I
wrote my wishes in several languages.
Then, the vendor took me to the tracks to release the
lantern, he took several photos (he was very funny) and then burned the paper
on the bamboo ring.
Sky lanterns have fascinated me since I was a child, probably
because of the movie Tangled...
After watching the sky lantern take off, I went for a walk to
the Shifen waterfall.
After this expedition to Shifen, I went to Jiufen by train.
I really enjoyed this place even though it is a bit of a victim of its own
success. The streets were filled with tourists, but I still managed to enjoy
myself.
I ate a douhua, it was delicious.
What is impressive about Jiufen is that the village was
built at the very top of the mountain, offering us an unparalleled view.
Moreover, when you walk through the alleys, you can feel a different, lively,
and ancient atmosphere.
